INTRODUCTION
Hi! I'm Valerie Clay, owner of JUVTREE. I am 49 years old and was already beginning to see signs of aging around my eyes, neck, and especially on my hands.
I was seriously concerned about my hands because they looked aged beyond my years due to working with chemicals or paints. I've expose my hands to harsh elements for a good portion of my adult life.
The use of chemicals really began to show up on my hands, even though I tried to remember to wear gloves when it was important to do so.
Due to some health issues, I started making my own skincare products in 2018.
I could truly see the difference in the look of my skin.
I also started reading labels on manufactured products and noticed that a lot of what we pay good money for is about 50% water. Lotions and many other skincare products put fillers in their products to lower the cost of making them and to make a greater profit.
On top of this, many of them are also filled with carcinogens and hormone disrupters which can cause health issues.
I wanted to provide my customers with a healthy alternative, focused on skin cell renewal. I quickly realized the benefits of using pure products and worked toward perfecting my formulations.
After using my own products for several months, I could see a noticeable difference in how young my skin looked. The wrinkles were not as noticeable and I was seeing real results.
I turned my bathroom into my own little spa and tried my new products on myself. There is nothing like a candle-lit bubble bath while treating your skin with nourishing organic fruits of the earth!
I liked my products so much, I decided to start my own product line. I began by giving my honey body scrub away as a gift, to see how other people liked it.
I got no feedback at all! I was so disappointed.
Come to find out most of the people I had given them to wasn't impressed that my products didn't have a noticeable scent. Who knew body scrub needed a scent?
I love the smell of honey so to me they did smell good but I certainly didn't think a product that will be washed down the drain would need to smell good.
And this is where the coffee idea began. Not only does coffee and cocoa add a rejuvenating effect to skincare, they're said to add a long list of skincare benefits such as: stimulating collagen, increasing blood flow, fight free radicals and aging, and moisturizing the skin.
Because of the lack of excitement over my product, I wasn't convinced that this was the business for me. Then I added natural ingredients that also have a nice scent to my products and people started liking them. It is amazing how much our nose speaks to our brains!
Once I learned about the benefits of using essential oils, coffee, cocoa, and other all-natural ingredients, I was jolted into the land of DIY skincare.
Now, not only do my body polishes smell good, they also provide many benefits for the skin.
Eventually I focused on how to fight wrinkles and was obsessed with finding the right formulation to improve the way our skin looks.
I came up with a focused product line to help combat aging. I and the consumer panel I've tested my products on have seen great results.
After using my Anti-Wrinkle Cream for about 21 weeks this is the results I achieved:

ORIGIN OF THE JUVTREE NAME
When coming up with a business name, I wanted something unique that would not only describe the feeling you get when you use our products but that would also represent our holistic life blog.
JUV is short for the word rejuvenate which means: restoration of youthful vigor. Coffee silk oil rejuvenates the skin, which is in the base of most of our products and provides benefits that help skin look more vibrant & youthful.
The word TREE represents the Luxurious Frankincense and Myrrh that we use to promote anti-aging properties in our products. It also came from having a holistic mindset. It came from the fact that seeds eventually branch out into full-grown trees.
Other things can be seeds as well. Our actions, ideas, words, and choices are all seeds. We reap what we sow. What comes around, goes around.
I want people to think of living a holistic lifestyle and mindset when they think of our products because products alone can't produce healthy skin, although they help. Only a healthy lifestyle in addition to products can do that.
Think of using our products as planting a seed toward younger-looking skin. Our products can't do it alone, although we wish we could tell you that they will. I do know from experience they help to promote younger-looking skin.
JUVTREE is also a positive word that has a deep spiritual meaning from the scripture Jeremiah 17:7-8.
I believe positive words give and extend life. It has been scientifically proven that positive words create a positive environment and even help with brain development, keep a plant alive, and help your pets or children be happier.
For this reason, I am extremely extremely excited to come up with the Juvtree name. My goal is to produce top-notch products because I want you to be healthy, happy, & whole. When you think of JUVTREE, think of positivity!
